The ancient Greeks saw a star in the sky so red it seemed to challenge Mars, the planet of Ares, god of war. They called it Ant-Ares: "the rival of Ares".
That's where our name comes from. In a digital world at permanent war, with DDoS attacks, malware and intrusions, Anthares is the force that stands against the attack.
The heart of the Scorpion.
Antares is "Cor Scorpii", the red heart of the Scorpius constellation and one of the largest known stars. It is a red supergiant roughly 700 times the diameter of the Sun.
If it took the Sun's place, it would swallow Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars. That's the scale we want for your infrastructure: power to spare.
Red and blue, always in orbit.
Antares isn't alone. It has a blue-white companion, Antares B, circling it in an orbit that lasts hundreds of years.
In our logo, the red supergiant is the power of our servers and the cyan companion is the cybersecurity team that never leaves its side. That's why the brand combines these two colors.

Antares is in the final stage of its life. One day, thousands or hundreds of thousands of years from now, it will explode in a supernova so bright it will be visible from Earth in broad daylight.
